SUSPENSION OF ENROLLMENT INTO MCA TRAINING INSTITUTIONS

The Pharmacy Council is reviewing the accreditation policy for the training of Medicine Counter Assistants (MCAs).
In view of this, all coordinators and proprietors of MCA training institutions are directed to suspendenrollment of new students into the programme with immediate effect.

However, continuing students will not be affected and will be examined as scheduled in November, 2011 and June, 2012.
Subsequent to the above, a team will visit your facility for the purpose of monitoring of the MCA training.
The Council would communicate the recommendations of the review committee to you in due course.
