Mr. Victor Boye Laryea, a Senior Clerk/Estate Officer of the Pharmacy Council retired from active service on September 30, 2007 after thirty (30) years of dedicated service.
A short but impressive ceremony was organised at the Pharmacy Council conference room in his honour. Mr. Laryea joined the then Pharmacy Board in 1977 at a time when the Council had just one office in Accra overseeing pharmacy regulation countrywide.
Mr. Thomas Appiagyei, a former Principal Inspecting Pharmacist of the Council who chaired the function congratulated him for his long service and reminded all present that Mr. Laryea was a part of the era when licences were handwritten and officers had to go round the whole country on inspection of facilities.
Mr. Joseph Nyoagbe, Registrar of the Council who presented Mr. Laryea with a certificate of honour commended him for his dedication to work and wished him all the best in his future endeavours.
Mr. V.B. Laryea on his part expressed his gratitude to the Council for the honour and the opportunity to have worked with the institution.
The occasion was attended by staff of the Head Office, all Regional/Zonal Managers and some invited guests.
