To register as a pharmacist in Ghana, the following criteria must be satisfied:
The Applicant:
- Must hold a degree in pharmacy
OR
- Hold a qualification equivalent to a degree that entitles him to be registered as a pharmacist in the country where the qualification was obtained
- Demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English
- Undergo a period of internship training at an institution accredited
- 5. by the Pharmacy Council, .the duration of which will be 12 weeks (480 hours) if applicant is a practising pharmacist in another country (evidence must be provided). OR 40 weeks (1500 hours) if applicant is a new graduate.
- Take and pass the Ghana Pharmacy Professional Qualifying Examination on completion of the internship training.

- Application fee of $500 or its cedi equivalent for pharmacists already in practice OR $100 or its cedi equivalent for fresh graduates

- 6. Academic transcripts (mailed directly to the Registrar of the Pharmacy Council from the institution of training)
