The Pharmacy Council participated in the 2nd edition of the Ghana International Health Fair organized by the Ministry of Health. The eight-day fair held between 12th and 19th October, 2008 in Kumasi attracted a cross section of the public to the fair ground.
Among the numerous visitors to the stand of the Pharmacy Council were the Hon. Minister of Health, Maj. Courage Quashigah (Rtd) and one of his Deputies, Hon. Abraham Aidoo among other dignitaries.
Officers of the Council were at hand to explain to visitors some of the services the office renders to the public. Officers also participated in a seminar to educate the public on Council's activities. Participants were students from some second cycle institutions in the Ashanti Region and some members of the public. The topic was on "the use and misuse of medicine".
